Whirlwind

Wow, the next 4 days are going to be hectic but I am sooo excited. Tomorrow my Mom, sister and nieces will be here to help me decorate for Zoe's party, then tomorrow night we are off to see Rascal Flatts in concert...I'm pumped. I love them but I am not liking the weather forcast...rain, rain and more rain at an outdoor concert venue, yuck.
Saturday is my baby's 1st birthday party. Trust me I will post tons of picks and letter to my baby soon after the party.
Sunday I am hosting a baby shower for a dear friend of mine who is expecting a little boy in September.
Monday is Zoe's 1 year pictures as long as the weather cooperates as the pictures are outdoors.
Tuesday back to work. No rest for the weary!!
Stay tuned for all of the updates. I probably won't post for a few days but wish me luck that I can hold it together Saturday for Zoe's party and not be an emotional wreck because my baby is growing up way too fast! Ha
Lots of love blog buddies and have a fabulous weekend!

Baby steps

Zoe did this twice today, she pushed herself from a sitting position to standing position, stood there for a few seconds until she got her balance and then took 2-3 steps towards me. Little stinker will be walking before you know it.

Sad

Sometimes, I just don't understand and I want to shout out WHY? Praying for Stellan.

Think I have breakfast down pat but.....

Mini pancakes (check), mini waffles (check), cereal (check), oatmeal (check), fruit (check), yogurt (check), toast (check) and I could go on and on. Too bad you can't type a check mark rather than having to spell out the word. I think I have breakfast foods down pat for Zoe, that was a no brainer seeing how I could eat breakfast food 24-7 myself! Ha I even have snacks pretty much down pat. We are in the process of weaning from her bottles, very slowly but we are weaning. I am in no rush for this. I am letting her do this at her own speed. Why the rush right?
Now the hard part....lunch and dinner meals. It is so hard for us especially at dinner because Bryan, Me or Zoe get home during the week until 6:30 and Zoe goes to bed at 8-8:30 because we get her up at 6:00Am...poor baby. We try and feed her by 7 at night which only leaves 30 minutes to prepare her meals. So far no meals have been prepared for her other than carrots, squash or green beans. I really need some suggestions on what we could feed her at lunch and for dinner. Right now we are still relying on baby food to do the job but she wants to eat whatever we are eating so I know she is ready for something more. This whole transition into solid foods has been rather mind boggling for me. Any advice from you Moms or Dads would be so much appreciated. What are some things I can feed her for lunch and dinner. She will be 1 year old in a week but unfortunately she still only has 2 teeth...poor baby. So we are still somewhat limited to what we can give her. I would love to hear your suggestions and thank you for your help.

My baby will be one soon

I am having a terrible time accepting the fact that my baby is about to turn 1 years old. Part of me is sooo sad but the other part of me is super excited to watch her grow up. I just can't believe a year has already flown by. I have never, ever, ever been happier in my life. I have always had this nagging feeling like something was missing from my life, well to be honest, I no longer have that feeling. My life is complete. I have the best husband anyone could ask for and I have a beautiful, silly, happy and healthy baby girl who I live and breathe for, my goodness...she is my world!! I know all of you Mommies out there know what I am talking about. Anyway, enough mushy stuff, on to the plans for the weekend. Saturday we will be traveling back to Alabama for my niece's bday party...she will be 12. I am soooo proud of her, she really is a great kid. I call her my mini me because I swear we are so much alike. She is me basically when I was her age. On Sunday we are going to White Water for the morning and let miss Zoe play in the kiddi section. I know Bryan and I will take turns going down a few adult slides as well, heck, why not, we are paying $50 bucks. I am thinking miss Zoe will have a blast and I know I will have a blast just watching her. We are heading home after that to spend the afternoon cleaning out our storage unit to make room for new things that need to be stored such as Zoe's old toys and clothes, etc. I know we should be attending church on Sunday but we can't seem to find a church we really like. All of the churches close around us are HUGE and when I say huge I mean something like 656 people in attendance to Sunday school. Anyway, I truly know that is no excuse that we should be able to worship anywhere and trust me as soon as we find a "home" we will be in regular attendance. We both want a small church and want a church Zoe can grow up in. Anyway, I don't normally post on the weekends so this may be my last post until Monday but I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Scrapbooking

I keep meaning to start collecting all of the materials to make Zoe a scrapbook and truth be told, I don't even know where to begin. I have lots of cute stickers but that is all so far. Truthfully if I could find someone who made pre-made scrapbooks, that would be soooo much easier. Anyone know of someone who makes pre-made scrapbooks? This is where I am right now. There is just not enough time during the week and weekends are packed from now until the end of August with birthday parties, Anniversary, vacation and baby showers. Please let me know if you know someone who does this.

Time to close the door on a chapter

Today has been a sad day for me. For those of you that don't know, I work full time and my Zoe attends daycare. This daycare is conveniently right across the street from my office and has an open door policy. For the past year while she attended Infant A and now Infant B daycare, I have been able to visit her everyday, which I do. Well folks, sadly, the time has come to stop visiting her everyday. You guessed it, she is experiencing attachment issues and cries her little eyes out when I leave her. She does not understand yet, that I come back for her. So in order to make the day easier on her and on her teachers, I am only going to visit her at lunch on Fridays. Believe me, this is killing me more than it would ever hurt her but I know it is time and it is for the best. I am the only Mommy who still visits her child in Infant B. So it is time to quit crying, which I have been doing ALL DAY and it's time to put on my big girl panties!! Time to be a big girl. I know that they love my Zoe like she is one of their own and will take good care of her. I think my problem is being away from her all day, 5 days a week. I know once she goes to school I would not see her anyway, I was just hoping I had more time. Sadly, I know it is time. Have any of you gone through this before? Please tell me it gets easier because right now my heart aches and I feel lost without my baby. Any advice how to make the transition easier?

Ready for my photo shoot!!

Stuck at 11

Ok, blog readers, I have been stuck at 11 followers for over a month now and I believe I may be following my own blog, so technically 10 followers!! I love getting new followers so everyday when I open blogger that seems to be the first thing I check. I've had a stale month to say the least with no new followers. So today I am asking what followers I do have, what can I blog about that might interest you guys? Would you guys mind mentioning me to fellow bloggers to show some love for the wee little guys (Me)? I started my blog because I am a new Mommy with no family living in the same state and only 1 friend who has a baby and we rarely see her. I feel like sometimes I am all alone, stumbling through this thing called parenthood. I wanted to connect with other Mommies who are going through what I am going through and hopefully make some good friends along the way. I apologize for my little pitty party it seems I am having today!!

Celebrate our troops and our freedom

I just personally want to say thank you to all of the men and woman who have sacrificed their life to fight for our freedom. No words could ever, ever express the amount of gratitude I feel for each and every one of them. My heart goes out to the Moms, Dads, children, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents who have lost a loved one. May each and every one of us take the time to understand just how great of a sacrifice is made for our freedom. I pray for this war to be over. I pray for this world to have peace. That is my almighty prayer is for peace, love and happiness.
I won't be able to log on this weekend, that is why the early post.
