I have a question

Sleeping attire in the summer on a baby/toddler, what do I do? I've still had Zoe sleeping in pj pants, socks, t-shirts (short and Long) because she still does not know how to use her blanket other than cuddling with it or sleeping with it under her head. We keep the temperature set at 77 in the house but I still worry about her getting cold. I am afraid to let her sleep without socks because I don't want her little feet to get cold. Last night I went in to cover her up (at least I am using a thin blanket) and her little arms were like ice. Her room gets very hot by morning time though, she has two big windows that face the sun once it comes up that heats up her room quickly, trust me, I slept in her room the other night and about died from the heat in the morning time, very stuffy. So what do I do? Her room is cool at night but hot in the morning. How should I dress her? I don't want her to get cold but at the same time, I don't want her to be hot either. Decisions, Decisions. Any suggestions?

AND NO, I NEVER FELT SAFE ENOUGH TO PUT THE BUMPERS BACK IN HER CRIB. I WAS A SCARDY CAT. SHE IS SO USE TO THEM NOT BEING IN THERE NOW THAT THERE IS NO NEED.

Paw Paw's 60th Birthday

Baby Girl,

I want you to be able to look at pictures from this day, Your Paw Paw's 60th Birthday and always know what a special Paw Paw you have and how much he loves you. I am so glad we got to be a part of his BIG day!!

Mothers Day

We celebrated Mothers Day mostly on Saturday this year. Daddy, Mama and Zoe went to the park for a little play time and picnic. I actually love our park we go to, it is such a big park with lots of green grass everywhere, lots of trails, a creek and big playground. We had a blast here as we always do. I love to see Zoe running around care free. As many of you remember we live in a condo complex with nothing but pavement all around us, booooo.

After the park we went home for nap time. Once we woke Zoe up from her nap, we were off to do a little shopping for much needed clothes for this Mama. I went to New York & Company, can you say S-C-O-R-E!! Everything in the store was half off. I left with two shirts, a pair of shorts, a pair of capri pants and a dress for....drum roll please.....$56.00. I was ecstatic!!

After shopping, Bryan said I could choose anywhere I wanted to eat. If you know me, you know my absolute favorite thing to do in the Summer is sit outside for my meals. So, I chose of all places, Mellow Mushroom, a pizza joint right by our house. They have fabulous pizza and terrific greek salads.....my mouth is watering as I type this but the best part is they have a huge patio outside. It was kind of cool on this particular night though so we ate quickly.

Sunday we went to church and then came home and just relaxed for the rest of the day. Bryan cleaned the house, cooked dinner, gave Zoe a bath, changed diapers all day. It was wonderful, to just have a day off. I got a lot of snuggle time though with my baby girl and I completely loved every minute of it. My days of snuggle time with Zoe are numbered, I am aware of this, so I am eating up every minute I can with her.

We didn't go to Alabama this year for Mothers Day to see Bryan's Mom nor my Mom. We had been at both parents houses 3 weekends in a row prior to Mothers Day. We were at my Parents for two weekends in a row and then Bryan's parents the actual weekend before Mothers Day. April and May are busy for us because my Mothers birthday and Bryan's Dads Birthday are back to back at the end of April, first of May.

Here are some pictures of our sweet baby girl from Mothers Day. Her Daddy and her planted Basil and sweet peppers on this day too.

I am very, very blessed to have such an amazing family and support system.

To My Zoe,

You are my heart and soul little girl. You have taught me so much and continue to teach me every day. Your heart is pure and your sweetness is consuming. I love you with all my heart and I want you to know how special I feel not only on Mothers Day but everyday that I get to be your Mommy. I will always love you toot toot and I will always, always be here for you.

Love,
Mommy

P.S. - Looks like Mommy forgot to download the amazing pictures of us from Church. I will post those soon.

I've been playing

I am really starting to get into this camera business. I've taken a very general class so far on how to use my DSLR but I have many more to go. I've been playing with my pictures on a website called Picnik (free services of course). I haven't upgraded to any premium websites yet until I learn about contrast, temperature, sharpening, lighting, color, etc. I am going to post a few pictures that I have played with mostly for me to see how they look but also maybe you photo taking professionals will help a sister out, some advice. I am like a sponge right now, ready and willing to absorb any information I can!!

I promise I will do my Mothers Day post as well as a 21 month old post for Zoe soon.
