I'M BACK

Hey Everyone, I'm finally back. Actually I've been back but I should say I finally got all of our Christmas pictures downloaded, yippee!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year, I know the Lockette Family did! In a way I am so glad it is over, I can rest now but at the same time I'm sad, sad that the Holidays came and went so fast. I've had the past two weeks off and I've been with Zoe everyday for two weeks. It is back to work tomorrow and Zoe starts a new daycare tomorrow. I have butterflies in my tummy. I am so worried and I hope and pray I am making the right decision to move her to a different daycare. I don't deal with change very well. I moved her for a reason though and I just have to believe in my heart it is for the better.
We had so much fun with her over the Holidays. We had to celebrate "our" Christmas with her on Tuesday the 22nd but it's ok, she is still too young to realize. We celebrated early with her because we left that same day to travel t my parents for Christmas. We left my parents home Christmas Eve night and traveled to Bryan's parents. This was not a fun trip, it rained like cats and dogs and was super windy the whole way but we made it. We got to Bryan's parents house around 9 that night and miss Zoe was wound up. I think we finally got her in bed at 11:58, we were pooped. We celebrated Christmas morning at Bryan's Grandmother's. This is always such a nice time. He has such a wonderful family. I think you guys have heard me say before how blessed I am to have such wonderful extended family.
Zoe rode on the 4 wheeler with Bryan's Dad, we bundled up and played outside, we had a great time.
New Years Eve, we spent the night with our friends and there were 2 new babies + Zoe and 5 couples who rang in the New Year together. The babies and Zoe were in bed by 10-10:30 though. We celebrated New Years Day watching our Auburn Tigers barely beat Northwestern but hey, a win is a win...GO TIGERS!! We ate collard greens, black eyed peas, cornbread and a smoked turkey from our friend's Green Egg, it was so yummy, although I must admit, I only ate two bites of black eyed peas, they just aren't for me but I figured I needed a little good luck for 2010 so I managed to get down 2 spoonfuls. We had our friends little girl's 1st birthday party, yeah, Happy Birthday Malena! She looked just precious.

We bought Zoe a potty tonight and some pull ups, ok, now comes the advice from you guys because honestly, I don't have a clue what to do. I know she brought that potty around everywhere with her tonight and just said tee tee all night. When we tried to take the potty away she would start screaming. I couldn't help but laugh but now I am laughing at myself because I just don't know where to begin. I would love some pointers from you Mommies who have gone through this...Kristine/Stephanie!!! LOL

That's a quick catch up of what has been going on. I will leave you with many, many, many pictures. I am glad to be back and can't wait to catch up with everyone. I hope we all have a blessed, happy and healthy 2010. Be prepared for so many pictures, just warning you.

Blogging Break

I just wanted to wish all of you, my friends a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a blessed New Year. I am heading to Alabama and will be taking a break from a computer until after Christmas. I hope everyone's holidays are so special. I can't wait to catch back up and see everyone's pictures, here your stories and see what everyone got for Christmas. My heart goes out to all of you that are missing loved ones this Christmas. I hope each day brings peace to your heart. My thoughts, heart and prayers are with all of you.

Blog bluh!!

I haven't posted in so long. Real Estate has picked up....I am so happy, it just doesn't leave me much time to blog anymore. I hate to get on the computer at night because that is my time to spend with Bryan and Zoe. I go to be around 10 0r 10:30 because I get up so early to come to work. Anyway, just wanted all of you to know if I am away for a few days at a time, everything is fine, just staying busy.

Now, onto the weekend. I am hoping to finish up my Christmas shopping this weekend. Has everyone finished? I love this time of year. I have had so much fun trying to guess presents for everyone. I have especially had fun buying for Zoe. Can anyone suggest some good childrens Christmas books?

I am so upset, I've decided to take Zoe's picture everyday for the 25 days of Christmas in front of our Christmas tree.....I FORGOT TO TAKE HER PICTURE ON THE 8TH. I am just sick about it. I wanted the dates to be on the pictures when I printed them. Any suggestions?

Bryan and I are going on a date tonight. I am excited to have him to myself for a night. Zoe's daycare host "Parents night out" once a month a we haven't been able to do it for like 4 months, just time conflict. We are taking them up on the offer tonight. We are going to a theater called "The Fork & Screen". I never want to go to any other movie theater. This place offers smaller theater rooms with tables, candles and reclining chairs. They have a wonderful menu to choose dinner from and if you would like a drink, they serve any drink you want. What a great place....just love it.

So, have I ever mentioned that Bryan was an Auburn University graduate but a die hard Alabama fan. If you know football, you know that these two teams are the ultimate rivalry teams in SEC football. I am an Auburn fan so when Alabama won the SEC championship, I cringed....booooooooo. Now, I have to listen to Bryan trying to teach Zoe to say Roll Tide #1...............it is sooooo annoying. Just needed to vent about that for a minute.

Zoe is a dancing machine these days. She loves to boogie down to "The Freshbeat Band"....they personally make me want to scream when I hear them sing. She is so stinkin cute though. One of these days I am going to sit down and figure out how to upload a video so you can see her gettin down.

Whew

I spent so much time Sunday and yesterday trying to catch up on everyone's post from last Friday until yesterday that I was unable to post my own post. I am all caught up now. I didn't get to comment much because seriously, I spent so much time reading!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. I am going to let you in on a peek of our Thanksgiving. Didn't get to get a picture of the turkey before it was carved...boo but got lots of cute pictures of Zoe. Enjoy!!
