How do you mama's do it

Ok, will someone please pass on to me how you do it? What you ask? Find time to clean, cook, take care of babies/toddlers, laundry, shower each day and still find time to blog everyday. I haven't even blogged in several weeks. I guess once we get into our "routine" life will be easier and there will be time for blogging. I really miss it and really miss all my blog friends. Things are going great, each day gets a little easier. Harper is sleeping through the night some nights. Right now we have been keeping her up with us until we go to bed. She is asleep this whole time but we just feel better with her downstairs with us until we go to bed. This is all about to change and so will her sleep schedule. Once she reaches 8 weeks we feel comfortable moving her to her crib. She is quickly outgrowing the bassinet anyway. She is almost the length of the bassinet. Once we move her to the crib we will move the monitor in there. I have to cut the cord with Zoe and the monitor. Right now the monitor is still in Zoe's room, mostly used at night in case she wakes up crying for us. I know, she is almost 3 and it is time to cut the cord. In two weeks it will be cut. Harper is eating like a champ and overall a pretty happy baby. She definitely went through a crying stage.....all the time but she is getting better and she is smiling so much more. She has a smile that just lights up the whole room. She has a beautiful smile. I can't believe she is almost 7 weeks already. We had to take her to Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital last Friday to have an ultrasound done on her hips. Dr. said because she was breeched that there was a chance for her to have problems with her hips down the road but we got the results today and our little girl is as healthy as can be.
Now for Zoe. She is our thriving little almost 3 year old. She looks so much bigger to me now that Harper is here. She weighs more to at least I think so but I didn't pick her up much towards the end of my pregnancy. Zoe is a mess, she definitely pushes the envelope with us. She is testing our patience so much. She could be worse though and I know this. She is a happy little girl and loves to play, play, play and wants us to play, play, play with her all the time. Zoe loves to play with her baby dolls, putting their "diapers" on, burping them, swaddling them, feeding them (and I do mean breast feeding them) this is hilarious to watch and also in a way I'm not sure if it's funny that she trys to breastfeed her babies or not. Should I not be doing this in front of her? Not sure how to keep from doing this in front of her anyway seeing how she is with me 24/7. Zoe is loving her new swingset, sandbox and sprinkler. Next we will get her a little pool. I am so very glad we decided to rent our condo and get a house with a yard. Life is good.

Zoe's first haircut and other random pics

Friday is the day!

So, after an unplanned event at the Dr's office yesterday, our baby girl will be born Friday, April 8th via C-Section. When I went for my weekly check up yesterday the appointment was only suppose to be a routine heart beat check and belly measurement. I however, wanted to see if I had dialated any more. Good thing I asked to be checked, Doc discovered our little girl is breeched. Right now she is sideways in my belly. Off to the ultrasound room we went to confirm this discovery. Let me just tell you that the appointment from then on was a whirlwind. I am still trying to wrap my mind around everything. I was planning a normal delivery and excited that I had dialated to 3cm and then the shocking discovery. So after all the whirlwind settled down, we are now scheduled for Friday, April 8th for delivery. I must admit I am scared to death. I have no idea what to expect. To top things off, my Dr. is going to be on vacation. Another Dr. will be delivering the baby. I really like this Dr. but I'm just not as comfortable with her as I haven't seen her very much throughout my pregnancy. I've mostly seen my Dr. Please say a prayer for a healthy baby and healthy delivery. Please pray that I won't have an anxiety attack right then and there before they start prepping me for surgery, I'm that scared. If anyone of you have any words of wisdom or advice or can tell me a little of what to expect, I would be so thankful for any help. I will post once baby Lockette has arrived. Wish me luck!!

11 more days

I'm not counting down or anything!! I hope I don't go into labor tonight during the severe storms that are suppose to hit GA during the middle of the night. I'm not sure I have ever mentioned how very, very scared I am of bad weather. The last time I went to the hospital because I was having contractions was the first of April and we had been under a tornado warning. I'm pretty sure the weather caused me to have such anxiety that I started having contractions. Pretty silly, huh, 33 years old and still a scardy cat about the weather. Anyway, I am 11 days away from my due date. I never thought I would make it this far. I have been having contractions for almost 2 months off and on and still only dialated 1cm. We are so ready to meet our sweet baby girl. Now, on top of being ready to pop, Zoe and I are both sick with sore throats, stuffy and headaches, not fun. I will keep you guys posted. I hope all of you are doing good. Have a great week.

Messed up once again

Well thanks blogger, you messed up my post once again. My whole post I cut because I wanted to move the post above the pictures and it wouldn't let me paste the post. Then I was trying to delete some of the space between each picture, what is up with that, why in the world is there so much space between each picture? I am really about over blogger. Is anyone else having trouble or is it just me?

Quick update:

Me good. Miserable, truly miserable. This pregnancy has been so much harder and way different than my first. I am hoping the baby will stay put at least 2 more weeks. I am 34 weeks now and I have already had 2 trips to the hospital, last trip contractions were 3-5 minutes apart. I had 2 doses of steroids to stop the contractions and good news was I had not started dialating. I am so uncomfortable and just tired but hanging in there.

Zoe is great, anxiously awaiting the arrival of her baby sister. She has started studdering in her speech which worries me but her PED assures me she will outgrow the studdering and that excitement or change is probably what has caused the studdering to begin. She is my precious baby. I love every minute with her. I love watching her grow and learn and I love being home with her.

Bryan (Hubs) is simply wonderful. Even after working all day, he has been coming home, cooking dinner and giving Zoe a bath so that I can rest and put my feet up. He is my rock. Not only is he a loving and devoted husband but he is my best friend. He has seen me at my true worst and still loves me for who I am. Love him

That is a quick update on what I originally posted. Hope all of you are well.
34 WEEKS AND COUNTING!!
