Zoe is Two, say it isn't True

Our little princess turned 2 recently, amazing! Someone please tell me where the time goes? It was just yesterday I was in Northside Hospital, scared to death of what was to come while in labor with Zoe and now she is turning two. I keep saying it but we have a smart one on our hands. I am amazed everyday at her vocabulary, I'm not kidding ya'll. It's incredible. She had a special birthday spent with a few close friends and family. I had a blast planning her party. I am going to break up the post so more is to come. Just a couple of things I would like to tell Zoe.

Princess,
You are the light in Daddy and Mommy's world. You shine so brightly and we are so proud of you. We are amazed everyday at what you say and do. You are true enjoyment to be around. You are a very smart, beautiful and funny little girl. You are full of life and you make our lives full just by being a part of it. We love you more than words will ever be able to express. You are our heart and soul baby girl and I look back now and I can't even imagine my life before you. We love you dearly.

Love,
Daddy and Mommy

Craft Friends....Need help

I bought little clay pots to paint as decoration for Zoe's birthday party. I painted the little pots aqua blue and bought ribbon in yellow (color theme of bday party) that I was going to glue (hot glue gun) to the pots for added decoration. I tried to glue the ribbon the other night and the glue drys to quickly before I can get the ribbon wrapped around the pot. Tying the ribbon is not working either!!

ANY SUGGESTIONS.....???? HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Miss 23

Oh my goodness, my baby is 23 almost 24 months. Where did the time go and why won't it slow down darn it. My baby is a toddler, no longer a baby, although she will always be Mommy's "baby".

Miss Zoe,
You are so smart. Can I just repeat that statement? You are so smart. Thank goodness it looks like you got your Daddy's brains!! I prayed for that!! Not that your Mommy isn't smart but your Daddy reigns in that department. I don't give him credit very often so Daddy, if you are reading this, you better enjoy it....hahaha, love you honey!
Baby girl - I am in awe everyday, watching you grow, learn and explore. I hope I am doing everything in my power to help guide you to be a loving and sweet baby girl. I'm trying really hard. Your Daddy and I are just simply in love with you little girl. Our hearts feel like they will burst with so much love and admiration for you.
You are hands down the absolute best part of our day and night. What are you doing at 23 months you ask?

-Repeating everything
-Forming 3,4 and sometimes 5 word sentences
-You love to sing and dance
-You amaze me everyday because you remember words from songs, like whole songs
-Your favorite songs right now are Barney (I love you), ABC's, Are you sleeping Brother John, Ring around the rosies, twinkle twinkle little star. You know these songs by heart.
-You can count to 20, this amazes me
-You love to shake your hips, that's my girl!!
-You love your baby dolls. You love to put a diaper on them, burp them, give them a bottle, cover them with the blanket, fix their hair and even rock them.
-Your imagination is truly taking off. I love to hear you having "conversations with your baby dolls"
-You are still sleeping so good although here lately you have been waking up crying for Mama. I am hoping that this is just a stage and not the start of something permanent.
-You love to help in any way. You love putting things in the trash can. You love "helping" Mama sort the laundry. You love, love to "cook". We let you pour water, pancake mix, pizza mix, muffin mix into things and you love it. You love to stir things as well. You are a pretty darn good little helper.
-You love for Mommy to "help you" these days and it melts my heart
-You still want Mommy to hold you all the time and that is perfectly fine with me
-You love the pool. You are our little fish. We love your puddle jumpers, they work so well.
-Your hair is getting so long. You have two cow licks in the back so Mommy is having a hard time figuring out where to part your hair!
-You love to brush your teeth and your babies teeth, so glad for this.
-You really liked the ocean and beach this year. This was your second time at the beach and let's just say, this year's trip was much better than last year.
-You love to help "drive". Thanks to your Aunt Kee Kee who let you "drive" in her lap from the parking lot to our driveway, now you want to "drive" all of the time.
-okay baby girl, you are whining a LOT these days. What is that about and can you get through this stage pretty quickly please?
-You have definitely reached your terrible two's but you know what, I will take the terrible two's any day as long as I get to spend them with you.

We love you so very much baby girl. You are absolutely beautiful on the inside and out and we couldn't be prouder of you. You will be 16 before we know it. I want to savor everyday we have with you. I hope you slow down on your growing just a tad so I can catch my breath!! hee hee

Love,
Daddy and Mommy

Our 4th of July

I unfortunately don't have a lot of pictures from 4th of July this year, boo. We were traveling for most of the day back from Alabama. I will not do this again. I want to be at home with my family next year, maybe even host a little 4th of July get together and family/friends come to us for a change. I am so tired of traveling all of the time. Anyway, we did have a great night on the 4th with miss Zoe. She loved the fireworks but she loved playing with the little boy next to us more than the fireworks. They played "ball", ate ice cream and screamed/giggled when the fireworks would go off. Zoe kept running around saying boom, fireworks go boom, she was so cute. Zoe has taken an interest in picture taking. We are currently on the hunt for a new video camera so I let her play with our old one for now. She loves it! She says "I take pictures too Mommy", so cute. Love her!! We tried to get a family photo but as usual my eyes were closed....argh!! I don't understand why my eyes are shut for 99% of our photos, drives me bonkers. We told Zoe all about it being America's Birthday and about the brave men and woman who fight for our freedom everyday. She ran around singing happy birthday to America!! We are so grateful to live in such an amazing country and count our blessings each and every night.

Can't catch my breath

It seems like ever since we got back from our vacation, I just can't seem to catch up on blogs, on work, on laundry, on planning Zoe's 2nd birthday party and then planning a baby shower for a friend the following weekend! I feel stressed beyond stressed and not sure why! Summer is flying by way to quickly. I can't believe it is almost the middle of July already. Zoe turned 23 months and I still need to post about it. I still need to post a Father's Day post so that I have the memories down somewhere. I miss all of you guys and hope you know I haven't forgotten about you. I will post and catch up soon.
