3 cool things Zoe did this weekend

1. Zoe pulled herself up from a sitting position to a standing positition curtesy of our ottoman. I missed this of course as I was in the other room cleaning up. I seriously have to let the housework go some so I don't miss moments like this. Daddy got to see it though and said she looked so proud of herself.

2. She finally drank from her sippee cup, after weeks of trying to teach her how to use one.

3. She has figured out how to put the dissolving puffs in her mouth and eat them. She seems to like the banana ones.

She is doing something new everyday. I love watching her reach all of her milestones. I am such a proud, proud Mommy!!

Sweet dreams Kayleigh

Kaleigh and Family,

I've never met you but I feel like you are such a huge part of my life. Kayleigh's miracle story has touched my heart like no other. She was a fighter. She tried so hard but she was so tired. Her poor little heart just couldn't go any further. My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of Kayleigh. She is a precious angel and she has gone to join all of the other precious angels in heaven. Dad and Mom, she will be awaiting patiently for your reunion with her. I pray for you to have strength to get through this difficult time. Be sure you love the two children you have and love each other like tomorrow is not an option. I will forever be touched by Kayleigh and I am so very thankful that you shared her story with me.

Rest in peace beautiful Kayleigh.

My First Mother's Day

My precious Zoe,

What a very special first Mother's Day (officially) today was. My day started with you and Daddy letting me sleep in and get some much needed rest...thank you both. The next wonderful thing that happened was I got to hug and kiss you and Daddy. Then you gave me the prettiest lockett necklace with Mom engraved on the front and Love Zoe engraved on the back. I will wear it every day so that I will always have you with me. Then we went to the pool for a little while. Crazy Daddy got in the water but you and I set on the side and dipped our toes in the pool. You were so funny, you caught your breathe because the water was so cold. I think I am going to wait until June before I try and get you in the water, hopefully by then, the water will have warmed up some. Then of course the rain came and we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and being lazy. It was an awesome day and I am so very thankful for all the love, kisses and gifts that you gave me.

Zoe, you are my heart and soul kiddo. You are growing up so fast and I just won't you to know you mean the world to me. You, Daddy and I make a perfect team.

Thank you sweet Daddy for helping make Mother's Day special.

Time for table foods

But Mommy, that cracker is so yummy....that is the look I got from Zoe last night when I took her cracker away because I was afraid she could get choked on it. Bryan said just let go Mommy, talking to me about relaxing, letting her enjoy this new freedom of foods. How do you let go? How do you not worry?

I am thinking I want to take a CPR class, which I did not take while I was pregnant with her, just in case. Bryan and I took several classes but a CPR class was not one of them.

She was so funny eating that cracker though. She totally enjoyed it.

A story that has touched my heart

Today I read the story about the cutest little baby boy named "Stellan".
I am forever touched by this little guys story. We can learn a lot from this little guy. He is a fighter and has captured the hearts of many, many well wishers. A story like his makes me so very thankful for my healthy baby girl. I am truly blessed. I will pray with all my heart for Stellan and I will continue to follow his story with the hopes that he will stay strong and keep fighting. I do not know Stellan or any of his family but I wish them all the best and I will pray for them to have strength and togetherness throughout their journey in life.

A truly blessed Easter

This year was the best Easter yet. We celebrated Zoe's first Easter. She looked precious in her little Easter dress, Kristi thank your friend for me who did the monogramming, the dress was precious. We didn't get to hunt Easter eggs this year as it was very windy and we don't want any more ear infections but next year watch out!! We played with plastic eggs though and had a blast. We went to church with Me Me and Pop and then spent the rest of the day with Aunt Kee Kee, Uncle Scott, cousins Justin, Jessica and Maddy. It was a wonderful day!! We are very blessed and fortunate to have such beautfiul weather and to have such wonderful company to spend the day with.

Oh how time flies when you are having fun....

Wow, Zoe is 8 months old today....that means in 4 months she will be a year old. Where has the time gone? Just yesterday, I was leaving her at daycare for the first time and having a horrible time doing it.

It is time to start planning her birthday party, which I have been secretly doing for months now. Crazy!!
